Desert Rose Care Guide

At Uyirppu.in, we are proud to offer a wide variety of colorful and exotic Desert Rose plants. Unlike ordinary flowers, Desert Roses bloom in thousands of vibrant shades and can live up to 100 years. They can be grown as bonsai, potted trees, or even as ornamental features in gardens. Caring for Desert Roses properly ensures long-lasting health and beauty.

🌱 Choosing the Right Soil

Avoid clay or red soil. Desert Rose needs well-draining sandy or cactus mix soil. Water should never stay in the pot after watering. Always use loose, dry soil that does not hold water.

☀️ Sunlight Requirements

Place your Desert Rose where it gets bright, direct sunlight for at least 6 hours daily. This plant loves warm and dry conditions.

💧 Watering Tips

Only water when the top soil feels dry. During healthy seasons (not rainy or winter), gently touch the stem — if it feels soft or hollow, it needs water. If it’s firm, water is not needed.

🌦️ Seasonal Caution

Do not prune or repot during winter or rainy seasons. Desert Rose goes into rest mode during these times. Disturbing it may cause damage.

✂️ Pruning Damaged Parts

If your plant looks unhealthy (leaves turn yellow or fall), gently remove the plant from the pot. Cut off any rotten roots or parts. After pruning, let the plant dry for a day.

🧴 Use of Fungicide (Paste/ Powder)

After cutting or pruning, apply fungicide (plant-safe paste or powder) on the cut area to prevent rot or fungal infection.

🌵 Replanting After Pruning

Use dry sandy soil to replant the pruned Desert Rose. Water only a little for the first few days. Make sure the pot does not store water at any time.
